What is Vortex Fruit Drop?
Vortex Fruit Drop is a casual 2D arcade game in the suika (watermelon) style. You are given a fruit at the top of the screen, aim it with the mouse, and release it into a container below. When two identical fruits touch they merge into a single larger fruit, which in turn can merge with another of the same type. The chain keeps going until no further matches are possible. The board has a vortex boundary near the top, and if any fruit crosses that line the round ends. Special items like bombs and swords let you clear problem fruits before the stack gets out of hand.

Controls are mouse-only. Click to drop the current fruit at the cursor position, or hold the mouse button to see the aim line before releasing.

Fruits and the merge chain
Each merge produces a fruit one step up the hierarchy. A small cherry becomes a strawberry, a strawberry becomes a grape, and so on up to the largest fruit. Higher-tier merges give more points, so chaining multiple merges in a single drop is the fastest way to build a score.

Tips for keeping the board clear
- Drop near the sides of the board first so large merged fruits settle toward the center and leave headroom at the top.
- Save bombs for situations where a cluster of the same fruit is blocked from merging by a single misplaced piece.
- Try to trigger chain merges: drop a fruit so it merges immediately, and place it close to another pair so the resulting fruit triggers a second merge.
- When the stack is close to the vortex boundary, prioritize clearing over chasing high-value merges.
- The next-fruit preview is always visible. Use it to plan two drops ahead rather than reacting after each drop.
